Sony Confirms: GTA VI Theater Experience at Tokyo Game Show 2026

Sony has revealed new details on its PlayStation booth for Tokyo Game Show, kicking off next week, and Grand Theft Auto VI is set to get a special theater experience.

PlayStation Japan has confirmed the details in a PlayStation Blog post published Thursday, September 10th a week ahead of Tokyo Game Show's opening at the Makuhari Messe Convention Center in Chiba, Japan. The show runs from September 17-21 and PlayStation's booth will be packed with hands-on demos for upcoming games, a premium creator lounge and a theater solely for Grand Theft Auto VI.

In related news, PlayStation opened pre-orders for two GTA VI Limited Edition Wireless DualSense Controllers.

Highly Immersive Theater Experience

The dedicated theater will feature the "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" trailer, which previewed on Netflix on August 27th. The trailer will be shown on a 300-inch screen with Sony's floor haptic technology, providing an immersive experience as the floor vibrates in sync with visuals and audio.

Those who attend will walk away with an exclusive Grand Theft Auto VI PlayStation shirt. There is a limited quantity of large shirts only, and each person will receive one, so I'd get there early. It is unknown at the time of publishing whether this will be available for future purchase.
