The age rating for Grand Theft Auto VI is unknown at this time, but previous games in the series have been rated M for Mature by the ESRB. We expect something similar to GTA V's ratings.

  • Canada: Rated 18+ (Mature)
  • Australia: Rated R18+
  • Europe: Rated 18
It's estimated Grand Theft Auto VI may require as much as 150 GB of storage. The game is expected to be much larger than GTA V which currently requires over 100 GB including additional downloadable content.

It's likely the system requirements for Grand Theft Auto VI's PC release will be higher than those for Grand Theft Auto V, which are as follows.

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • Operating System: Windows 10 64 Bit, Windows 8.1 64 Bit, Windows 8 64 Bit, Windows 7 64 Bit Service Pack 1
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs) / AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor (4 CPUs) @ 2.5GHz
  • Memory: 4 GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: NVIDIA 9800 GT 1 GB / AMD HD 4870 1 GB (DX 10, 10.1, 11)
  • Sound Card: 100% DirectX 10 compatible
  • Storage: 72 GB available space

Note that these are the minimum requirements, and to fully experience the game, it is recommended to have higher specifications than the minimum.

At this time, it is unclear if Grand Theft Auto VI will include cross-play or cross-progression support. In the past, Rockstar Games has allowed players to transfer their GTA Online progress between different platforms following re-releases of Grand Theft Auto V, but the game does not currently support cross-play.

Given ongoing issues with modders and hackers in the PC version of GTA Online, it seems unlikely that cross-play between consoles and PC will be supported in Grand Theft Auto VI. However, cross-play between consoles is still a possibility and could potentially be included in the game.

According to leaked development footage, Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to feature a diverse range of wildlife, including but not limited to:

  • Alligators
  • Birds
  • Boars
  • Cats
  • Cows
  • Dogs
  • Fish
  • Pigeons
  • Possums
  • Raccoons
  • Rats
  • Seagulls
  • Skunks
  • Snakes
In leaked development footage, Jason can be seen scouting a store and using a special ability to highlight valuable items to steal. The screen fades to grayscale and individual items are highlighted with a white glow. It’s currently unknown if Lucia will have a similar ability or whether this will be the only special ability available to Jason in Grand Theft Auto VI.
