GTA VI Merch Scalpers Are Charging Up To 2,735% More Than The Rockstar Store
Official GTA VI merchandise has started appearing on eBay at many times its original price, but some of it is still available from the Rockstar Store at full price.
Rockstar Games launched its Grand Theft Auto VI collection on the Rockstar Store on October 8, and it didn’t take long for many of the items to sell out. Ten days on, we’ve been through the UK store and eBay to see what’s left and what the resellers are asking for it.
Of the 26 GTA VI merchandise items on the UK Rockstar Store, 15 are now completely sold out in every size and colour, including:
- 10 x T-Shirts (13 available at launch)
- 1 x Cap (6 available at launch)
- 1 x Canvas Tote (2 available at launch)
- Vice City Zippo Lighter
- Vice City Money Clip
- GTA VI Keychain
Below is a breakdown of the most eye-watering eBay listings we found, alongside the original Rockstar Store prices.

eBay prices we found: £384.10 to $1,558.80
The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is still available to pre-order from Rockstar, limited to one per customer. Even so, we counted 126 listings for it on eBay UK, with an average price of £500.
The most expensive is from a seller in Michigan asking $1,558.80, a 290% increase, plus a further $167.38 for postage to the UK. At the time of writing, 25 people are watching it.
Every one of these listings is a presale. The Collection doesn’t ship until November 19, so none of these sellers actually has the box yet.
GTA VI: The Album - Limited Edition Vinyl
Original Price: £108.99 (GBP) · Sold Out
eBay prices we found: £150.07 to £567.70
The limited liquid-filled edition of GTA VI: The Album sold out within an hour on September 17. It’s now listed on eBay UK for between £150.07 and £567.70, with an average of £199.95.
These do appear to be selling. One US seller is asking $258 (approximately £193.59) and eBay shows 27 sold, with dispatch not expected until November 25.
GTA VI Limited Edition DualSense Controllers
Original Price: £74.99 (GBP) · $84.99 (USD) · Sold Out in the UK
eBay prices we found: £96.38 to £208.70
As we reported in September, UK stock of both controllers sold out within minutes. The average eBay listing is now £114.95, and one white controller listed at £149.95, exactly double the retail price.
Before You Buy
It’s important to note that these are asking prices, and most of the listings accept offers.
It’s also worth being careful when searching. A search for “GTA VI keychain” brings up plenty of 3D-printed and “inspired” keyrings for £2 to £7, sitting alongside the official one. Any listing marked “presale” means the seller doesn’t have the item in hand yet. Be careful as this could be cheaper quality items coming from overseas (hopefully in time for release!).
Rockstar hasn’t said whether any of the sold-out items will be restocked. You can add them to your Wishlist on the Rockstar Store to be alerted if they become available again. That’s almost certainly a better option than paying a reseller several times the price.
