Grand Theft Auto VI Delayed Again - New Release Date: November 19, 2026

Rockstar Games have announced another delay to GTA VI, which has been pushed back by 6 months from May 26th to November 19th, 2026.

In a newswire post which was shared to social media channels, Rockstar Games confirmed that their newest game will be delayed again until the end of next year.

As we've stated numerous times before - which some of the younger and more vocal GTA fans are yet to experience - this isn't unusual for Rockstar Games. Almost every one of their games has been delayed after their official announcement, and just because they gave an actual date (May 26, 2026 - rather than something like "Spring 2026") doesn't prevent that from happening. GTA IV was also delayed by around 6 months despite having an official release date back in 2008.

While fans are sure to be disappointed that a game that was initially hoped to launch in early 2025 won't be out until the end of 2026, we can take solace in the fact it should be even better, even more bug free and even more polished than we'd hoped.

Following Rockstar's previous GTA VI delay, they released Trailer 2 and a huge update to their website, so stay tuned for any potential details about the game which may be released in the coming days to tide over disappointed fans.
