The lyrics of the first six songs revealed from GTAVI: The Album are filled with themes of crime, money, relationships and nightlife that fit perfectly with the world of Leonida. Here's what else we noticed...
Rockstar Games and Atlantic Records have now released the first six singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, giving us an early taste of the music that will accompany GTA 6.
While the songs don't appear to give away any major story details or specific moments involving Jason and Lucia, there are some interesting themes running through their lyrics. Crime, money, relationships, nightlife and life in the big city all feature prominently - themes that also fit naturally with what we've seen of Leonida so far.

Money and success come with a darker side here, with the lyrics touching on drinking, personal struggles and the weight that comes with wealth. It's an obvious fit for the criminal world of GTA, where getting rich rarely comes without consequences.

RHYNO - Travis Scott
A much more energetic track built around partying, money and living fast. Its atmosphere feels particularly suited to Vice City, with Scott even mixing references to "blood money" and crypto with expensive jewellery and a life where there are seemingly no brakes.

Attraction, temptation and impulsive decisions are at the centre of this collaboration. The lyrics jump between Spanish and English, with CA7RIEL openly admitting to breaking someone's heart while PinkPantheress brings a more playful side to the track.

The Last Thing You Need - Morgan Wallen
One of the more personal songs released so far, focusing on a relationship that both people seemingly know isn't good for them but struggle to leave behind. Those themes could feel particularly relevant to Jason and Lucia, whose relationship sits at the heart of GTA 6's story, although there's nothing in the lyrics to directly connect the song to them.

Of all six songs, this perhaps has the most obvious connections to the kind of criminal chaos you'd expect from GTA. The lyrics describe driving around with weapons and drugs, hearing police sirens and then attempting to escape when things go wrong.

Later, the song turns the situation into what sounds remarkably like a GTA police chase:

Bright Lights, Big City - Keith Richards
The song revolves around someone becoming captivated by big-city life, with the narrator warning that the bright lights have gone to his partner's head. Its themes of temptation and being drawn into the promises of the city feel especially appropriate for Vice City and the excess associated with it.

More About the Setting Than the Story?
So far, there doesn't appear to be a hidden GTA 6 plot buried within the lyrics of these six songs. Instead, the similarities are broader: money, crime, relationships, temptation, nightlife, police and the attraction of living fast.
That may ultimately be the more interesting connection. Rather than telling us what happens to Jason and Lucia, the early singles help establish the kind of world their story takes place in - one filled with wealth, excess, danger and people chasing something bigger.
With more music from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album still to come, it'll be interesting to see whether those themes continue across the rest of the soundtrack, or whether future releases offer any stronger connections to characters, locations or events we've already seen in GTA 6.
