What Time Would GTA 6 Launch With a Global Release?
GTA 6's existing PlayStation release is spread across 15 regional windows over 19 hours, but what would the launch look like if the game became available everywhere in the world at exactly the same moment?
Why is a Global Release Possible?
Following Rockstar’s announcement that the Miami Heat will take to the court as “Vice City” on the eve of GTA 6’s launch, many fans have wondered whether the event could point towards a simultaneous global release for the game.
The game is currently scheduled to roll out region by region, meaning it would already be available across much of the world when the match tips off at 7pm EST. In fact, GTA 6 is due to unlock in the UK and Ireland at the exact moment the NBA game begins.
While the match could give US fans something to watch as they await their midnight release, it also raises an intriguing possibility: Rockstar could replace the staggered rollout with a single worldwide unlock shortly after the final buzzer. That would allow the full game to be broadcast as part of an elaborate global countdown to GTA 6’s launch.
We've put together an interactive table below which shows what time it would be in each region if there was a single global release. Many fans would prefer this to avoid spoilers, however it would mean an additional wait of up to 19 hours for some countries around world.
There is Only One Feasible "November 19th Global Launch"
The only launch window where the game would officially unlock on November 19th in all countries would be the final release in Mexico and Central America. All earlier release windows would see some countries gain access on November 18th local time - meaning Rockstar could have to update their official release date and artwork.
If this really was the global release window, the game would launch worldwide on November 19th at:
- 19:00 PM in New Zealand
- 07:00 AM in Central Europe
- 06:00 AM in the UK and Ireland
- 01:00 AM in USA and Canada
- Midnight in Mexico and Central America
Local Time Calculator
The interactive table below lets you choose a master launch region and the local date and time for each of the 15 original release regions is recalculated to show when that same simultaneous worldwide unlock would occur there.
Choose the Master Launch Region
By default, the simulator uses the currently confirmed Mexico and Central America release time: midnight Central Time on November 19 as this is the only release which occurs on November 19th for all regions worldwide.
Simulated GTA 6 Global Release Times
All entries below represent the same instant worldwide. For release regions covering several time zones, the table uses the representative time zone associated with the original PlayStation Store window. Local times within countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia and Mexico may differ.

How the Global Release Simulator Works
This tool does not predict that Rockstar will change the confirmed release schedule. It uses the official regional PlayStation Store timestamps as possible reference points and asks a hypothetical question: if midnight in one selected region triggered a simultaneous global launch, what would the local time be everywhere else?
For example, selecting the United States Eastern release means the game unlocks worldwide at 05:00 UTC on November 19. That same instant is 12:00am in New York, 5:00am in London, 2:00pm in Tokyo and 6:00pm in Auckland.
Why a Global Release Would Be Different
Under the expected rolling schedule, New Zealand gains access first and the last supported regions follow 19 hours later. A simultaneous global release would remove that staggered advantage, but many players would receive the game during the morning, afternoon or evening rather than at midnight.
The times shown are calculated in the browser using official IANA time zones and automatically account for daylight-saving rules applicable on November 18–19, 2026.
