Strauss Zelnick Describes Netflix Preview as "An Extended Trailer"

Strauss Zelnick described "An Extended Look" at GTA 6 as an "Extended Trailer" in an interview published by IGN today.

In an interview with IGN, he revealed some additional details about the upcoming preview.

"I think Rockstar felt that a Netflix release would be a great way to show off the extended trailer."

"Six hours later it will be available on Rockstar's YouTube channel and I think ultimately on many other outlets."

"I think this is an example of Rockstar trying new things and marketing the title and I hope there's much more to come."

He also recommends people get signed up to Netflix, saying

"Well, as you'd imagine, I'm only going to say great things about Netflix. If you're not a Netflix subscriber, you definitely should be one."

"As for the trailer itself, it's coming soon enough that I'll let you arrive at your own conclusion. I'm sure you're going to watch it because everyone is."

Personally, I think this hints at the possibility of additional videos to come via Netflix, and I also don't necessarily think he refers to it being "an extended trailer" to mean it will be a longer version of say Trailer 2. I do think this will be something completely different and perhaps more like a mini-documentary about the game.
