Stephen Root Confirms Brian Heder Role in GTA 6

Stephen Root has confirmed he's part of the Grand Theft Auto 6 cast, likely voicing Brian Heder. He's the first cast member to go on record about his role in Rockstar's upcoming release.

After more than a year of fan theories and side-by-side voice comparisons, the guessing game is over! Stephen Root has confirmed he's joining the cast of Grand Theft Auto VI. He's the first actor to go public about his role in the biggest game of the century.

Root spoke with AP News in a short interview released today, where he was asked directly whether he's in Grand Theft Auto VI. He straight up said, "Yeah, you're gonna see me in there!"

Root's character debuted in Trailer 2 over a year ago, where people recognized his distinctive voice from King of the Hill. Asked what the experience has been like, Root said he's happy to be involved and called it an amazing thing to look at.

Root is widely believed to be voicing Brian Heder, an aging drug runner turned fixer who serves as a mentor (and landlord) to Jason Duval in GTA 6. Rockstar has yet to release an official cast list, but Root's comments mark the first time any actor has confirmed their involvement publicly.
