Possible GTA VI In-Game Website Domains Discovered
Rockstar Games dataminer Tez2 recently discovered a number of domain names registered by Take-Two Interactive which appear to relate to GTA VI.
On May 27 this year - coincidentally, almost exactly one year ahead of GTA VI’s scheduled release - several new domain names were registered and briefly linked to Take-Two Interactive's official name servers.
As first spotted by Tez2 on GTAForums, the list of domains suspected to be related to Grand Theft Auto VI includes:
- what-up.app
- rydeme.app
- buckme.app
- leonidagov.org
- brianandbradley.com
- hookers-galore.com
- wipeoutcornskin.com
- myboyhasacreepycorndog.com
When asked why they may have been registered on May 27th specifically, Tez responded:
"No idea. I only brought that up because the two obvious ones, what-up.app and leonidagov.org, were registered on the same day, drawing the connection that the rest may be VI-related as well."
As often happens when discoveries like this surface, Rockstar Games quickly removed the domains from their name servers, but in doing so, seemingly confirmed that they were something we weren’t meant to see yet.
Across multiple previous titles, Rockstar has registered real-world versions of its in-game websites. These often redirected to official game sites, or at the very least back to Rockstar’s homepage. For example, KentPaul.com was used as a teaser for GTA: Vice City, and although the site itself is long gone, the domain still redirects to Rockstar’s main website. More recently, LifeInvader.com from GTA V served as a parody social network.
It's likely the newly discovered domains will play a similar role - either as teaser websites in the lead-up to GTA VI or simply as assets registered for legal and branding purposes so they can safely appear in-game.
Either way, this marks the first notable discovery about GTA VI since the game’s second trailer dropped in May. It'll be interesting to see which, if any, of these domains end up becoming part of the GTA universe.
Fans have been speculating as to their possible uses in game, and the general concensus is the following:
- what-up.app - We already knew about this from the leaked development footage. WhatUp is GTA VI's parody of the WhatsApp messaging app.
- rydeme.app - Could be a parody of taxi ordering apps like Uber or Lyft. Could also be some form of Motorbike dealership.
- buckme.app - Perhaps a Tinder or hook-up parody app?
- leonidagov.org - The official government website for Leonida, GTA VI's fictional state setting.
- brianandbradley.com - Could be anything from a clothing brand, law firm / business to a couple's private blog.
- hookers-galore.com - Prostitution would be too obvious, so this could be something fishing related?
- wipeoutcornskin.com - Possibly another of the many parodies of pharmaceutical companies in the GTA universe.
- myboyhasacreepycorndog.com - Your guess is as good as mine on this one...

Also let me take this opportunity to wish a happy birthday to iGrandTheftAuto.com which first launched on this day 16 years ago! We're still working hard on the content over there (currently working through a full GTA Chinatown Wars guide) so check it out for all of your gameplay needs.
