Newzoo: GTA 6 Will Have a Major Impact on The Console Games Marker

Newzoo expects GTA 6 to have a major impact on the console games market when it launches in November.

The firm forecasts console full-game spending will grow 17.5% in 2026 - the strongest growth of any business model - with GTAVI helping drive the increase.

That's despite overall console revenue being forecast to grow by a much smaller 5.1% to $46.9 billion.

Newzoo previously estimated that GTA 6 generated around $260m in global digital pre-orders during its first week, putting it on course for $3.3bn–$5.2bn in cumulative sales by the end of launch week.
