GTA VI Ratings Appear in PlayStation Ads Across Multiple Regions
Grand Theft Auto VI appears to have received age ratings across several regions, with ratings for Australia, Europe, Germany, and Mexico discovered through PlayStation advertisements.
UPDATE:
As of 1 PM ET on September 29, PlayStation has removed the Australian Ultimate Edition advertisement featuring the X 18+ age rating.
PlayStation began advertising the GTA VI Ultimate Edition on September 26, with the regional age ratings appearing in advertisements across Facebook and Instagram.
We spotted the ratings while examining PlayStation's GTA VI advertisements on Meta, with classifications appearing for Australia, Europe, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Mexico.
The ratings we've spotted so far are:
- Australia: X 18+
- Europe / United Kingdom: PEGI 18
- Germany: USK 18
- Mexico: D
It's important to note that these ratings have not been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games. They have been spotted in PlayStation's advertising, rather than through announcements from Rockstar or the respective ratings boards.
PEGI 18 also appears on the PlayStation Store
Around the same time the PEGI 18 rating began appearing in PlayStation's advertising, the PEGI 18 classification also appeared directly on the GTA VI PlayStation Store listing.
The rating is now visible on the game's official PlayStation Store page, where it was listed as PEGI 18 Provisional just recently.
Rockstar has yet to officially announce GTA VI's regional age ratings.
