GTA 6 YouTuber Previews Reveal Even More Gameplay Details
Rockstar Games invited a small group of content creators to watch extended GTA 6 gameplay demonstrations at Rockstar North, revealing even more details including a military base, zoo, podcasts, trains, fast-food drive-thrus, deeper weapon mechanics and plenty of smaller features.
Alongside the publications invited to preview GTA 6, Rockstar welcomed a small number of international content creators to its Edinburgh studio, including Australian creator TGG, Spanish YouTuber Rubius, Brazilian creator Davy Jones and Italian creator MikeShowSha.
Each creator was shown GTA 6 separately, with Head of Development and Rockstar North Co-Studio Head Rob Nelson controlling the game while allowing them to suggest where to go and what they wanted to see.
Note: While much of the information below is likely to be accurate, it's worth remembering that many of these details were reported from memory following the creators' visits to Rockstar North and may not have been individually verified or approved by Rockstar Games before publication. Some details may therefore be subject to clarification.
Also Note: Content creators continue to drip-feed additional details about the game. As a result, some of their latest information may be missing below.
We've already covered the extensive details revealed by Davy Jones and Flow Games, as well as Kinda Funny's separate Rockstar North preview, so rather than repeat the many overlapping details, we've gone through the remaining creator reports to highlight additional information revealed during the demonstrations given to TGG, Rubius and MikeShowSha.
TGG watched around three hours of GTA 6
Australian GTA creator TGG received one of the most extensive demonstrations, spending around three hours at Rockstar North including approximately two-and-a-half hours watching Rob Nelson freely demonstrate GTA 6.
Much of the session overlapped with information we've already covered from the traditional media previews, but it also provided a huge number of smaller details about GTA 6's characters, world, activities, combat, police and interface.
The Criminal Profile doesn't have a traditional visible meter
GTA 6's Criminal Profile, which tracks what kind of criminal Jason and Lucia become, apparently isn't represented by a traditional bar permanently showing where the player sits on a scale.
Instead, information about each protagonist's Criminal Profile can be viewed through a dedicated character section within the game's menus.
Successfully committing crimes in a clean and professional manner can contribute positively towards the profile, while excessive or unnecessary violence can push it in the opposite direction.
Your Criminal Profile can apparently be permanently shattered
The Criminal Profile can eventually reach a particularly extreme state where its associated symbol becomes damaged and ultimately shatters.
Reaching that point reportedly permanently locks the profile into that state for the remainder of the playthrough.
Exactly what consequences this has for the story, NPC behaviour or available content hasn't been fully explained.
Jason and Lucia's relationship status is also shown in the menu
The same character interface also contains information relating to Jason and Lucia's relationship.
Like the Criminal Profile, there apparently isn't a traditional relationship bar constantly moving up and down on screen.
Instead, the game tracks their relationship in the background while displaying its current status through the character menu.
Jason and Lucia can text and say goodnight
Small interactions can contribute towards Jason and Lucia's relationship.
The protagonists can send messages to each other, including something as simple as saying goodnight.
The pair can also arrange dates and spend time together outside missions.
Going to the gym together can count as a date
Dates aren't necessarily restricted to traditional romantic activities.
Going to the gym together can count as spending time together, while Jason and Lucia can also walk around Leonida holding hands.
These smaller interactions contribute towards their wider relationship system.
GTA 6 has a large military base
A large military base is located towards the end of the Leonida Keys.
Exactly what players can do there wasn't revealed, although military installations have traditionally been some of the most heavily restricted and dangerous locations to explore in Grand Theft Auto games.
Leonida has a zoo
Another particularly interesting location is a zoo which players can visit.
Players will even be able to study the animals there, bringing across another element of Red Dead Redemption 2's wildlife system. It's not just animals in the zoo which can be studied, with players able to encounter and study wild animals and pets throughout Leonida.
Fishing is catch and release
Fishing is available throughout Leonida, but it works differently from Red Dead Redemption 2 in at least one respect.
Fish caught by the player apparently aren't kept and are instead released back into the water.
Fishing therefore appears to be structured differently from Red Dead Redemption 2's system, where fish could be placed into the player's inventory, cooked or sold. The activity appears to be a way to make money.
Hunting can also make you money
Hunting can apparently become a source of income.
Jason knows a character connected with hunting, allowing the activity to generate money.
Exactly how animals are processed or exchanged for payment wasn't detailed.
Gyms require a membership
Players can't necessarily walk into a gym and immediately begin using its equipment.
Jason and Lucia were shown approaching a front desk and purchasing a gym membership before working out.
Gyms contain changing rooms and vending machines
The gym itself contains more than exercise equipment.
Changing facilities and vending machines are available, with numerous items including protein products that can be purchased before exercising.
Protein products can improve workouts
Protein shakes, bars and other consumables can provide temporary benefits while exercising.
During the demonstration, a protein shake provided temporary stat benefits and made the subsequent workout more effective.
Workouts fill a progression ring
Individual workouts have their own visible progression system.
Completing exercises fills a circular indicator, with approximately three exercises required to complete a full workout.
Different types of exercise can contribute towards different physical attributes.
The gym is completely optional
Despite the depth of the system, players can complete GTA 6 without ever visiting a gym.
The system is therefore intended to provide optional character development rather than becoming a mandatory routine.
Health, stamina and Focus can be improved
Health, stamina and Focus form three of GTA 6's important character attributes.
Activities and exercise can improve these attributes over time, while consumables can provide temporary boosts beyond their usual level.
Safehouses apparently can't simply be purchased
Players apparently don't simply purchase new residential safehouses throughout Leonida.
Safehouses are instead unlocked through story progression, fitting with other reports that Jason and Lucia's living situation changes throughout the game's chapters.
Garages can be purchased
Although residential safehouses apparently aren't purchased in the traditional way, players can buy garages.
This should provide additional storage for the game's expanded personal vehicle system.
Trains can be used for fast travel
We've previously covered buses and the RydeMe rideshare app being available for fast travel, but trains can also be used to quickly travel around Leonida.
This gives players several alternatives to driving across GTA 6's enormous map.
GTA 6's radio includes on-demand podcasts
GTA 6 expands its audio entertainment beyond traditional radio stations.
The radio interface includes an on-demand section containing podcasts.
Rockstar has already created extensive original television, social media and other entertainment content for GTA 6, and podcasts appear to form another part of that expanded in-game media ecosystem.
GTA 6 has a copyright-free music option
In particularly useful news for streamers and video creators, GTA 6 includes a copyright-free music toggle.
The option allows creators to avoid licensed music that could otherwise result in copyright claims or restrictions when streaming and uploading gameplay.
The phone is physically integrated into the world
Rather than simply displaying a traditional oversized phone interface over the screen, GTA 6's presentation is more closely connected to the physical device being held by Jason or Lucia.
The camera can move towards the phone while the character uses it, helping make its apps and social media feel integrated with the world.
You can get haircuts at safehouses
Jason and Lucia will be able to cut or shave their hair from their safehouses.
Unlike Red Dead Redemption 2, players apparently won't have to wait for their character's hair to naturally grow before selecting a longer hairstyle again.
The exact implementation remains slightly unclear, although the understanding from the demonstration was that Red Dead Redemption 2's dynamic hair-growth system isn't being carried across directly.
Jason and Lucia can exchange weapons
Weapons aren't necessarily permanently tied to whichever protagonist currently has them.
Jason and Lucia can directly give weapons to each other. If Jason is carrying an assault rifle that Lucia needs, for example, it can be handed over to her.
Pistols can be fired considerably faster
GTA 6 appears to remove the artificial restriction on how quickly players can fire some handguns.
Pistols can therefore be fired much more rapidly depending on player input.
There is aim assistance rather than traditional automatic aiming
The aiming system appears to move away from the particularly strong automatic lock-on familiar from some previous Rockstar games.
Aim assistance remains available, but combat is designed to require greater player involvement rather than simply snapping between enemies.
Hit markers show whether an enemy is injured, incapacitated or dead
GTA 6's hit markers communicate more information than simply whether a bullet connected.
Different colours indicate different outcomes, including whether an enemy has merely been hit (white), incapacitated (yellow) or killed (red).
Players can switch aiming shoulder
The camera can be switched between shoulders while aiming, providing more flexibility when fighting around cover and corners.
Kill cameras and crash cameras can be toggled
Cinematic camera effects can be triggered by certain kills and vehicle crashes.
These effects can apparently be disabled through the game's settings for players who prefer uninterrupted gameplay.
Focus can identify weak points on vehicles
GTA 6's Focus ability doesn't only work against people.
Activating Focus can expose weak points on vehicles, potentially helping players target important components such as tyres, engines or fuel tanks.
Focus can additionally identify valuable objects during robberies, including items worth stealing from locations such as jewellery stores.
Jason and Lucia can carry multiple bags
Players can carry multiple bags containing stolen goods, with additional bags also capable of being stored inside vehicles.
The amount that can be carried appears to depend partly on the storage capacity of the vehicle being used.
Items contained within these bags, including valuables, jewellery and drugs, can then be sold to a fence.
Choosing the right bag can matter during robberies
The storage capacity of different bags can affect how much loot the protagonists are able to carry away from a robbery.
This adds another small element of preparation when deciding what equipment to take into a larger crime.
You can loot defeated NPCs
Another Red Dead Redemption 2-style interaction returns in GTA 6.
Defeated NPCs can be looted, allowing players to search bodies for useful items or money.
Police cars contain useful equipment
Stealing a police car can provide more than just transportation.
Police vehicles contain body armour and an assault rifle in the trunk, potentially providing players with useful equipment if they're willing to take the risk.
The wanted-level interface contains detailed information
The redesigned wanted system includes several visual indicators showing what information police currently have about the player.
Icons can indicate that police know:
- The vehicle being used.
- That the player was captured by a security camera.
- That two suspects are being sought.
- The suspect's clothing.
- The suspect's physical appearance.
- That the suspect is armed.
Wanted stars have different visual states
The wanted stars themselves can change appearance depending on the state of the search.
Transparent or hollow stars can indicate that police have been alerted but don't yet have complete information about the suspect, while solid and changing states communicate how actively the player is being pursued or identified.
No witnesses can mean no wanted level
Police generally need a reason to become aware that a crime occurred.
If nobody witnesses or otherwise detects the crime, the player may avoid attracting a wanted level entirely.
Store alarms, security cameras and vehicle tracking devices can independently alert authorities, however.
Police can shoot out your tyres
Police are considerably more tactical during pursuits and can deliberately target the player's tyres.
Driving with a missing tyre is reportedly much more difficult than it was in previous GTA games.
You can recover your car before police impound it
If an abandoned personal vehicle is identified by police, officers can surround it before eventually having it taken away.
Players can attempt to sneak back in and recover the vehicle before it is impounded.
If police successfully take it away, recovering it later costs more money.
Vehicles have a full refuelling animation
GTA 6's fuel system isn't simply represented by a menu or instantly replenished gauge.
Refuelling a vehicle has its own physical animation, fitting with Rockstar's wider approach of making vehicle interactions visible in the world.
Cinematic driving returns
A cinematic camera system similar to Red Dead Redemption 2 is also available while travelling.
This allows players to take in Leonida's scenery while the game handles some of the routine movement involved in a journey.
Fast-food restaurants have drive-thrus
Players can order food through drive-thrus, with either a Burger Shot or Cluckin' Bell reportedly appearing during the demonstration.
Players can also enter restaurants and eat inside.
You can go grocery shopping
Players can shop for everyday items through an expanded store system.
Individual supermarket products can be interactive, including magazines that can actually be picked up and read.
Pool returns
Pool is returning as a playable activity after being absent from GTA V.
Wrestling is another activity
Wrestling is also among GTA 6's side activities.
The exact structure of the activity hasn't yet been explained.
Every accessible store can apparently be robbed
Every shop appearing on the map that players can enter can apparently be robbed.
Open-world robberies can vary considerably in complexity. At the simpler end are opportunistic store hold-ups, while increasingly elaborate crimes can involve preparation, specialist equipment, security systems, multiple protagonists and more valuable rewards.
Gang compounds are spread across the map
Leonida contains a large number of gang compounds for players to discover and raid.
These locations can contain money, drugs and other valuables.
One gang compound is associated with the Ultimate Edition
One additional gang compound is connected with the Ultimate Edition of GTA 6.
Exactly how this location differs from the many gang compounds available normally hasn't been detailed.
The mini-map can automatically disappear
GTA 6's highly customisable HUD can be configured so the mini-map automatically disappears while travelling on foot.
Players can alternatively leave it permanently enabled, disable it completely or replace it with a compass similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.
The mini-map can display 3D buildings
The mini-map is capable of displaying buildings with a more three-dimensional appearance rather than relying entirely on simple flat outlines.
The presentation has been compared with the type of building detail seen in modern mapping applications.
The pause-menu map uses detailed satellite-style imagery
The full map shown through GTA 6's pause menu is reportedly considerably more detailed.
It uses satellite-style imagery with detailed terrain and buildings, giving players a more complete representation of Leonida than the simplified mini-map used during normal gameplay.
The map begins covered by fog of war
Players won't immediately have every part of Leonida revealed on their map.
Unexplored areas begin obscured and are gradually uncovered as Jason and Lucia explore the world.
The map can display detailed information about discovered locations
The full map can contain more than basic location icons.
Information can be displayed for certain locations such as gang compounds, including details about the valuables that may be found there.
The DualSense touchpad opens the map directly
On PlayStation 5, the full map can be opened directly using the DualSense touchpad.
Quick waypoints can be placed without opening the map
Players won't necessarily need to repeatedly enter the pause menu to navigate around Leonida.
A quick interface can display nearby points of interest and allow a destination or waypoint to be selected without opening the full map.
Vehicles have their own interaction menu
Vehicles include a dedicated interaction menu allowing players to perform individual actions such as opening the trunk, hood and doors.
You can use bins – and apparently throw dog poop
Players can dispose of rubbish properly in bins, with the behaviour potentially contributing positively towards the Criminal Profile.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, bags of dog waste dropped by NPCs can be picked up and thrown at other pedestrians.
Rubius was given his own personalised GTA 6 demonstration
Spanish creator Rubius also spent more than two hours watching GTA 6 at Rockstar North.
Rockstar gave each invited creator a different route through the game, with Nelson asking what they wanted to see and adapting the demonstration accordingly.
This particular session began inside an apartment belonging to Jason and Lucia before travelling through plazas, beaches, an explorable hotel and a jewellery store.
You can control flips while jumping into water
When Jason or Lucia jumps into water, the player can apparently control their movement and rotation in mid-air, allowing them to perform flips before hitting the water.
The movement was compared with the mid-air controls seen in games such as Skate 3 and Marvel's Spider-Man.
Characters can also enter the water using different diving animations, including head-first dives and other poses.
You can buy and smoke cigarettes
Cigarettes can be purchased and smoked by the protagonists.
The smoking animation is substantially longer than Red Dead Redemption 2's brief cigarette animation, with the character continuing to smoke rather than immediately taking a single puff and discarding it.
Smoking replenishes Focus
Cigarettes also have a gameplay effect.
Smoking restores part of the protagonist's Focus meter.
Every NPC can be interacted with
An interaction interface can be used with virtually any NPC encountered throughout Leonida.
Rockstar has recorded substantially more dialogue for these encounters than in Red Dead Redemption 2, with conversations extending beyond simple greetings and insults.
NPC conversations can be considerably deeper
These interactions aren't simply a larger collection of generic one-line responses.
Some characters can apparently engage in more substantial exchanges, helping individual pedestrians feel less interchangeable.
You can ask owners before petting their dogs
NPC interaction also extends to pets.
When approaching someone's dog, players can apparently interact with the owner before attempting to pet the animal.
Different owners and dogs can react differently, with some remaining friendly while others may become hostile or defensive.
There are apparently no child NPCs
Children don't appear among GTA 6's NPC population, according to the creator demonstration.
Despite Rockstar substantially increasing the variety of NPC ages, sizes, appearances and behaviours, the studio therefore appears to have retained the series' longstanding approach of excluding children from its open world.
The crowded beaches shown by Rockstar represent actual gameplay
The density of NPCs witnessed while visiting Vice City's beach was comparable to the extremely crowded scenes shown in Rockstar's official footage.
The demonstration was running on a standard PlayStation 5.
GTA 6 includes full dismemberment
The demonstration contained considerably more graphic violence than Rockstar showed during the Extended Look.
An NPC was reportedly shown losing their head after being shot with a shotgun, while individual limbs can also apparently be dismembered.
The creator cautioned that the game was still in development and couldn't guarantee the exact level of gore would remain unchanged in the final release.
Bodies – and even Jason or Lucia – can be hidden in vehicle trunks
NPC bodies can be physically picked up and carried, including placing them inside vehicle trunks.
The system isn't limited to NPCs. Jason or Lucia can apparently climb inside a vehicle's trunk, allowing one protagonist to hide inside while the other drives.
Pawn shops act as fences for stolen goods
Leonida contains pawn shops where stolen items can be sold.
This provides another way to turn physical valuables gathered during crimes into usable money.
Large weapons remain available through Ammu-Nation lockers
GTA 6 limits the number of large weapons Jason and Lucia can physically carry at one time.
Additional owned weapons remain accessible through vehicle storage and weapon lockers at Ammu-Nation.
Weapons can be dropped and remain physically in the world
Players can drop weapons onto the ground and they remain as physical objects in the environment.
A parachute was also seen naturally resting on the ground near a helipad rather than appearing as a traditional floating or rotating pickup.
High-end vehicle trackers must be removed
Expensive stolen vehicles can contain GPS tracking systems.
If players want to permanently keep certain high-end stolen vehicles, the tracker must be removed by an appropriate mechanic.
Social-media livestreams can lead you to actual NPCs
GTA 6's social media system is deeply connected with its open world.
Players can encounter livestreams from influencers or other NPCs and then travel to the location shown in the broadcast to find that person physically there.
This means some social content represents events actively occurring elsewhere in Leonida rather than prerecorded flavour material disconnected from the world.
You can enter hotels and travel naturally to their rooftops
When the demonstration was directed towards a helicopter on top of a building, the route involved entering a detailed hotel and travelling towards the roof.
Access involved moving naturally through the building rather than simply teleporting directly from street level to the rooftop.
Open-world robberies can involve planning
Jewellery stores and convenience stores are among the criminal targets available within the open world.
Players can prepare for these robberies and choose how they approach them, while tools, security systems, police response and NPC behaviour can all influence the outcome.
Spending time together improves Jason and Lucia's coordination
Jason and Lucia's relationship doesn't only change their personal interactions.
Spending time together can improve their coordination during robberies, suggesting the relationship system has direct gameplay consequences.
Conversely, abandoning your partner during a dangerous situation such as a firefight can negatively affect their relationship.
Police remember whether you were working alone
Police can remember whether Jason or Lucia was accompanied during a crime.
Separating afterwards can therefore make the subsequent investigation more difficult, alongside changing clothes and abandoning an identified vehicle.
The preview build had no full first-person mode
The GTA 6 build demonstrated during the session didn't contain a full first-person gameplay camera.
Rockstar reportedly made no definitive statement about whether first-person support could ever be added later.
MikeShowSha received another two-hour GTA 6 demonstration
Italian creator MikeShowSha received another approximately two-hour demonstration, once again with Rob Nelson controlling the game while responding to requests about what to investigate.
Subsequent videos provided a number of additional details about the pause menu, character switching, combat, robberies and random events.
GTA 6 looked even better running in person
The game running directly on a PlayStation 5 was described as looking even more impressive than the footage presented in Rockstar's Extended Look.
The demonstration ran at a reportedly stable 30 FPS on the base PlayStation 5.
Jason and Lucia continue living independently
When the player controls one protagonist, the other doesn't simply disappear from the world.
Jason and Lucia continue their own activities while they aren't being controlled, building on the character-switching system introduced in GTA V.
You can give instructions to the other protagonist
The second protagonist isn't entirely outside the player's control when Jason and Lucia are together.
Players can give contextual instructions to the character they aren't currently controlling.
For example, while controlling Jason as a passenger during a pursuit, the player can tell Lucia to accelerate or escape while she continues driving.
You can pick up food around your home
During the demonstration, Jason was able to simply pick up an apple from the kitchen and eat it.
Later, after losing health, he purchased a hot dog from a convenience store to recover.
Lucia can specialise in kickboxing and MMA
The protagonists can develop different approaches to hand-to-hand combat.
Lucia can train in kickboxing and mixed martial arts, while Jason was described as having a rougher street-fighting style.
Some NPCs may try to disarm you
NPC reactions to weapons aren't limited to simply running away.
Some NPCs can become aggressive enough to attempt to take a weapon away from the player.
Personal vehicle slots appear to be limited initially
The preview build appeared to contain three registered vehicle slots: one associated with Jason, one with Lucia and an additional slot.
During the demonstration, Jason's existing vehicle was sold so that a stolen car could be registered as another personal vehicle.
It's unclear whether this limit expands through progression, although purchasing new garages could be a way to increase this.
The Scooter Brothers can return your vehicle
An NPC can arrive with a personal vehicle before leaving on an electric scooter.
The character was identified as part of a vehicle delivery service available within the world, apparently connected with the Scooter Brothers system shown elsewhere.
Rockstar noticed Jason and Lucia didn't thank the delivery driver
One particularly small moment demonstrated Rockstar's continuing attention to NPC interactions.
After a vehicle was returned, Rob Nelson reportedly noticed that Jason or Lucia didn't acknowledge or thank the delivery NPC.
He immediately suggested to another developer that the interaction should be changed.
A random event involved crashed robbers and marked money
One emergent event encountered during the demonstration involved criminals who had crashed their vehicle into a pole.
Money from the crime was left scattered around the scene and could be taken by Jason and Lucia. However, the cash was reportedly marked and needed to be cleaned or laundered before it could be safely used.
Two robbers can accidentally lock themselves inside a jewellery store
Another unusual encounter involved two women attempting to rob a jewellery store before accidentally getting themselves trapped inside.
They asked Jason and Lucia for help, creating an opportunity for the protagonists to become involved in a crime that had begun independently of them.
Jason and Lucia can take over another criminal's robbery
Rather than simply rescuing the trapped robbers and leaving, the situation could ultimately result in Jason and Lucia taking advantage of the opportunity and robbing the store themselves.
It's another example of GTA 6's random events interacting directly with the player's own criminal activities.
CCTV captured Lucia during the robbery
During the jewellery-store incident, surveillance equipment captured information about Lucia.
This meant police had useful identifying evidence rather than automatically knowing everything about both protagonists.
Jason and Lucia split up to make escaping easier
Because police had information relating to the suspects, Jason and Lucia separated following the robbery.
Splitting up can divide police attention and make it easier for one or both protagonists to escape.
The open world expands after the opening missions
GTA 6 remains structured into chapters and complete freedom to explore isn't necessarily available from the first moments of the game.
After completing the opening missions, however, the world opens up significantly, while the story naturally takes Jason and Lucia through Leonida's different regions.
One apartment shown belongs to a later chapter
One of the apartments and sequences shown during the demonstration came from later in the story rather than GTA 6's immediate opening.
It was described as coming from approximately Chapter 3, although story progression and chapter structure remain subject to change before release.
Three days of training can increase your strength
MikeShowSha provided some additional detail about GTA 6's gym progression system.
According to his account, training for three consecutive days can increase the protagonist's strength by one point and produce a visible change to their physique.
However, the improvement apparently isn't something players can simply earn once and forget about. Maintaining the character's physical condition requires returning to the gym regularly.
Open-world robberies can be committed at any time
Players apparently don't need to wait for specific missions or scripted events to commit robberies.
Stores can be targeted dynamically while exploring the open world, with the player able to prepare by wearing a mask and concealing their weapon behind their back before beginning the robbery.
Once the crime starts, players may have to make quick decisions about how ambitious they want to be. This can include simply taking money from the register and escaping or spending additional time attempting to open a safe while the police response develops.
Completing the robbery efficiently and without unnecessary violence can contribute positively towards the Criminal Profile.
Car theft depends on the vehicle's technology
Stealing vehicles is considerably more involved than simply pressing a button and immediately driving away.
Older vehicles can require forcing entry with a crowbar before completing a hotwiring interaction, while modern vehicles can instead require electronic equipment capable of cloning or obtaining the vehicle's key.
Players can still break a window when they need to get inside quickly, although the way the theft is performed can itself influence the protagonist's Criminal Profile.
Electric vehicles need charging
GTA 6's vehicle-energy system apparently extends beyond conventional petrol-powered cars.
Vehicles can use either fuel or battery power, meaning petrol vehicles need to be refuelled while electric vehicles need to be recharged.
A full tank or charge reportedly lasts a considerable amount of time, preventing the mechanic from constantly interrupting normal driving.
However, stolen vehicles don't necessarily begin with a full supply. Players can potentially steal a car only to discover that its fuel level is already low.
Jason and Lucia can switch roles during a getaway
MikeShowSha described a nighttime escape which began on a scooter before Jason and Lucia transferred into a car.
During the pursuit, the player could rapidly switch between the protagonists so that one drove while the other fired at pursuing police.
Shooting police tyres can positively affect your Criminal Profile
The getaway also demonstrated how surprisingly specific GTA 6's Criminal Profile feedback can become.
Rather than shooting directly at pursuing police officers, targeting the tyres of their vehicles reportedly triggered positive Criminal Profile feedback.
This reinforces Rockstar's explanation that the system isn't judging whether Jason and Lucia commit crimes, but how professionally and unnecessarily violently they carry them out.
Another unrevealed feature was teased
MikeShowSha also teased having seen another feature he considered particularly surprising that wasn't shown in Rockstar's Extended Look.
He reportedly reacted extremely enthusiastically to it but didn't initially reveal what the feature actually was.
Until further information is provided, there isn't enough evidence to responsibly speculate about what the feature might be.
Rockstar gave each creator a different look at GTA 6
Perhaps the most interesting part of these creator previews is that they weren't all shown exactly the same demonstration.
Rockstar allowed each creator to explore different parts of the game and ask Rob Nelson to demonstrate systems they were personally interested in.
That explains why, despite significant overlap with the traditional media previews, smaller details have continued to emerge several days after the initial preview embargo was lifted.
It also means some of the information should be treated slightly more cautiously than details contained directly in Rockstar's Extended Look or written materials, with the creators frequently recounting several hours of gameplay and conversations from memory.
