GTA 6 Leak: Collector's Edition Alleged Leaked by Former Packing Employee
A GTA 6 collector's edition box has reportedly leaked online. The claim comes from an X user who says he previously worked in packaging at Unique Services in Mexico, where the boxes are supposedly being produced.
On Wednesday, September 9th, a post began circulating on X from user @Alexi0982, who claims to have spent the past month working in packaging production for a GTA 6 collector's edition.
Alexi0982 posted (translated from Spanish):
"Alright, screw it all. There's going to be a GTA6 collector's edition. I worked for a month in packaging production. I'm leaving photographic evidence of the box design."
Attached were two images: one showing a black box with "Vice City Leonida" printed across the top and the iconic "VI" logo on the front, and another showing a warehouse with a stack of the same boxes piled on top of each other. He backed up the claim with a photo of an employee badge reading "UNIQUE SERVICES GROUP S.A. DE C.V." along with the words "Nuevo Ingreso."
He says he was there for roughly a month before quitting, and that he never signed an NDA during that time, which is presumably why he felt free to post what he did.
Potential Disc Included
Rockstar has already confirmed physical copies of GTA 6 ship as a code in a box, not an actual disc, which is what makes Alexi0982's description interesting. Here's how he described the box:
"It has several sections inside, plus it's a large one, even larger than the PS5's box. This is already my theory, but it might include the disc in this version. I back it up with the fact that inside the box I remember there was a circular piece where a disc could fit."
When someone pointed out the disc theory, he backed off a bit:
"It doesn't specify for which console, so it might even not have a disc at all (I hadn't thought of that until I saw your comment)."
The all-black design also drew some questions, which he brushed off with:
"It's more colorful on the inside."
When Could It Be Avaliable?
Someone asked him if he had any idea of a release window. he said:
"No, but I can tell you that right now they're distributing those editions to every part of the world where they'll be sold. It might come out after the launch because production will end in November."
Where This Stands Right Now
Alexi0982 has since deleted the post. If this is real, we'd expect Rockstar Games to confirm a Collector's Editon/Box sooner or later. At the time of publishing, these claims have not been verified.
