2K Teases a GTA-6 Themed Season For NBA 2K27

2K appears to be teasing a GTA 6-themed season for NBA 2K27, potentially marking one of the first major cross-promotional campaigns involving another Take-Two franchise around the game's launch.

The tease appears at the end of the newly released NBA 2K27 Season 1 trailer, which briefly previews upcoming seasons.

While Season 2 receives its own small preview, Season 3 is particularly interesting. A poster shows neon palm trees and birds against a colourful sky, accompanied by the sound of police sirens.

As the camera pans across the scene, an arcade machine featuring the Rockstar Games logo appears alongside lettering using the same distinctive colouring as the GTAVI logo, providing more than a subtle hint that GTA 6 will be involved in the theme for NBA 2K27 Season 3.

Based on NBA 2K's usual seasonal schedule, Season 3 is expected to begin in late November, potentially around one week after GTA 6 launches for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2026.

The crossover would be an interesting example of Take-Two coordinating promotion between two of its biggest franchises during GTA 6's launch window.

Exactly what the GTA 6-themed season will contain remains unclear, but previous NBA 2K seasons have introduced new rewards, cosmetics, events and other themed content. With Season 3 expected shortly after GTA 6's release, more details should emerge closer to launch.
